Commercial Vehicle Show set to return in 2011

2011 welcomes the return of the Commercial Vehicle Show to be held at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) in Birmingham. From 12-14th April, 400 exhibitors are expected from all sectors of the road transport and logistics industry. A key feature of the exhibition is expected to be the introduction of new and innovative methods of improving efficiency in an economic climate where cost reduction is critical.

Due to the credit crunch, the Commercial Vehicle Show was called off in 2009 as many major exhibitors cancelled their stands. However there will be no such disappointment in 2011 as the newly named Commercial Vehicle Operator Show anticipates a vastly improved turnout.

This free-to-attend business-to-business event is one of the best methods for industry operators to meet new suppliers and keep up-to-date with developments in the industry.

With an audience of logistics specialists, transport managers and transport engineers, exhibits will highlight a variety of products and services to aid the on-going operation of vehicle fleets. As the UK emerges from the recession, it is crucial that such opportunities exist within the industry.

Nick Jones, Chairman of the Commercial Vehicle Show states the importance of the shows timely return. “The ability to deliver consistent improvements in all aspects of road freight transport efficiency is vital in tough markets. As operators remain cautious, suppliers must be competitive. Without doubt, past experience shows the Commercial Vehicle Show is ideally placed to provide excellent opportunities for sales and growth.”
